Celebrate Pi Day on Tuesday 3/14 (Wear Purple)

It is that time of year to celebrate our favorite math holiday and our favorite person, Mr. Medina. For those of you that are new to Pathways Mr. Medina was a beloved member of the Math department who passed away of cancer in June 2020. Friday March 13th 2020 was our pi day celebration and the same day we shut down for the pandemic. That was the last day Mr. Medina was ever at Pathways.

To celebrate Mr. Medina this year we are going to celebrate our students. Mr. Medina was passionate on building strong relationships. He spent the time to know and celebrate our students, their families, their passions, and their cultures.

On March 14th we are going to be following the revised schedule for the day to create time to celebrate Mr. Medina. Students will be participating in a special activity (culture bags) that Mr. Medina used to do with his classes, as well as participate in a math pi day trivia game as well as join together for an assembly featuring the Hartford Proud Drumline.

WE ARE ASKING ALL STAFF/STUDENTS: wear purple (or pi shirts if you have one 🙂) on Tuesday March 14th.

This is a free dress down!!!!! Purple was Mr. Medina's favorite color - so we would love to show spirit for him.
